Varun Dhawan is selling his upcoming film Kalank which occurs to be his first costume drama. The movie, which is ready within the 1940s, was incepted over 15 years in the past when Karan Johar and his father Yash Johar had been in talks in regards to the movie. However, the challenge by no means took off. However, in his guide ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, Karan had revealed that his dream forged for the movie included Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Ajay Devgn.
On the Kalank interplay on Monday, Varun Dhawan spoke about getting into the position of Zafar which was initially written for Shah Rukh Khan. He mentioned, “I feel loads of the roles are written for very very large folks. I feel that is the way it was and the way this movie was imagined to be made very long time in the past. However, it did not get made. After which we received a brand new director on board and we re-imagined the movie after which that is the best way he needs to make this movie.”

On the trailer launch earlier final week, when Varun was requested how Shah Rukh reacted after watching his portrayal of Zafar. Varun mentioned, “I met Shah Rukh sir per week again and he had already seen the teaser, he had some good issues to say about it. He mentioned, ‘It is a good factor that you’re doing these sorts of roles, it’s taking near your followers.'”
Kalank stars an ensemble forged together with Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt. It’s slated for April 17 launch.
