Jammu and Kashmir: Top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami including chief Abdul Hamid Fayaz detained in major crackdown



Practically two dozen cadres of the Jamaat-e-Islami have been detained by the police in Kashmir through the intervening evening of Friday and Saturday, officers stated, including the arrested Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir members additionally included its chief Abdul Hamid Fayaz. Although police termed the detentions as routine, officers aware of the developments stated that is the primary main crackdown on the organisation that’s a part of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, a separatist conglomerate.
