Indian Scout range recalled for brake issues in the US

The Nationwide Freeway Transportation and Security Administration (NHTSA) of the USA has issued a recall for the 2019 Indian Scout, Scout Bobber and Scout Sixty bikes. Fashions produced between March 1, 2018, and October 31, 2018 are prone to potential ABS points, and the recall report states that 2,072 bikes are prone to be affected.

In response to the report, the Anti-Lock Brake Programs (ABS) on these bikes “had been manufactured with a brake system fluid fill course of that will not have met high quality requirements”. The impact of that is the formation of air bubbles within the brake fluid, which may degrade brake efficiency. The report additionally states that a sign of this problem is that the “power required to activate the brake lever could lower leading to a lever that feels smooth to the consumer.”
