I don’t know what the hell has been wrong with me lately. I’ve been soooooo damn tired. This weekend I just want to sleep but I know that I won’t be able to…there’s too many things to do.

Oh man. Things have been so hectic around here. Me and Hans got all dramatical for a minute just added to the stress. I can’t wait to just take a few hours to depressurize and chillax. That said, there’s a million things to do this weekend. Get out there…

Clockcleaner Are Ready To Fight
May 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment
Last Wednesday, Philadelphia heavy hitters Clockcleaner played a show in Brooklyn with The Dustheads and the reunited Midwest hardcore legends Negative Approach. I missed the show but word is that it was pretty epic. The ‘Cleaner are no strangers when it comes to pulling epic pranks but it’s pretty safe to say that Negative Approach […]

Philly Pitchfork Round Up
May 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Lately, Philadelphia bands have been scoring fairly high on the indie-rock tastemaker site Pitchforkmedia.com.
Today finds Pattern Is Movement scoring a not too shabby 7.9. Earlier this month, the ‘Fork gave Philly by way of Brooklyn singer SantoGold a respectable 7.1 and the debut album of West Philly weirdness from Tickley Feather rated a 6.7 on […]

I think that I love springtime more than any other time of the year. It’s not cold anymore but it’s not so hot that you want to die. This is probably going to be the first weekend where the weather is warm and the sky is sunny. Get out there and shake those winter blues […]

Philly Indie-Popper Calls in to the Best Show
April 10th, 2008 · No Comments
WFMU is one of the best radio stations on the air today and the Best Show is, uh, one of the best shows on the station. On April 1st, the show got even better for Herbie Shellenberger (the guy with the V-neck sweater on) of the excellent Philly indie-pop group Brown Recluse Sings - Tom […]

Your humble narrator was there - having a good time, DJing, mingling with kids who will one day be Supervisors and Bosses to us all.
I might have been a little faded (OK, I was pretty hammered and, seriously people, why didn’t anyone tell me that Dave P. got new really cool glasses? I didn’t even […]

Two Philly Bands Score High Praise Over At Pitchfork.com
April 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment
I’ve heard some people complain that the indie tastemaker site Pitchfork.com has no love for bands from the City of Brotherly Love. I don’t know how true that is but today is a decent day for the Philly indie scene to shine in front of a larger audience. Not one but two bands from the […]

Free Charlatans Album Download
March 5th, 2008 · No Comments
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of British indie bands and so I got pretty uh, flowered up when I heard that The Charlatans (UK) were releasing their new album, You Cross My Path, as a free download on the XFM website. Supposedly, The album will then get a physical release, in the form of CD and […]

So like yeah…more snow forcast for tonight. Friday night is jam packed with action. Things taper off slightly after that. If you were feeling really adventurous, you could book your flight now and fly to Brussels to see Bardo Pond and Clockcleaner (among others) play the Kraak Festival. If intercontinental flight isn’t your idea of a […]

This Saturday, Obits make their Philadelphia debut at Johnny Brenda’s. We try to make it a practice to not get too jazzed over […]
