I’m going to see the movie in 3 hours and I cannot wait!!! I am avoiding all blog posts and reviews so as not to spoil it for myself, but I can’t stop thinking about the X-Files. So, I’m doing a post about two of my favorite things in the world: tattoos, and The X-Files.

“Jag Vill Tro” means “I want to belive” in Swedish, I think. This tattoo is like the awesome twin of mine- I was actually seriously thinking about getting this exact thing on my other hip (though in English, obviously)… I still might!
Here’s mine. I posted about it a while ago, so sorry to those who have already seen it. I got based on the episode Jose Chung’s From Outer Space, in which a young nerd, Blaine, is asked to help out on a dangerous mission. He bravely says, “Well, I didn’t spend all those years playing dungeons and dragons and not learn a little something about courage.”

This is the tattoo that Scully gets in the episode Never Again. It’s pretty classy, but boring. A few X-Files fans have this, understandably. I’m sure a few Millenium fans do as well.

And of course here is the “Never Again” tattoo from the episode:

And a fan version:

David Duchovny wrote a hilarious episode called The Unnatural, which was about aliens and baseball. There’s an adorable scene where Mulder shows Scully how to play, and tells her, “hips before hands”.

A fan got that quote tattooed on her hip:

It’s very cute, in context, but I imagine it could easily be misread…

Yes, that tattoo is on somebody’s foot! The font is spot on, too.

And finally, because we DID need a true awful tattoo– there’s this one… where Scully looks pretty awesome, and Mulder looks like an alien, which I guess makes sense because his hand is green for some reason. It also looks like he’s about to make out with the big X. This tattoo just leaves me with more questions than answers… which I guess is appropriate given the subject matter.
