Oh man. Things have been so hectic around here. Me and Hans got all dramatical for a minute just added to the stress. I can’t wait to just take a few hours to depressurize and chillax. That said, there’s a million things to do this weekend. Get out there…

FRIDAY

222 Gallery (222 Vine Street) has the closing reception for Being True - a hype gallery deal that featured 22 different artists. It was curated by Emma Reeves and Aaron Rose. It was put on by 222 and the good folks at Wthn and the closing party features live sets by the Yah Mos Def and Pink Skull. 7pm-9pm. Free!

Oh man, here’s a cool one - Danger Danger Gallery has Ponytail, Thank You, Wzt Hearts, and The Carrots. I’m way stoked on Wzt Hearts and The Carrots. All Ages. 8:30pm. $8 suggested donation.

I kind of hate Clinic but I kind of love Mark Sultan (Aka - BBQ). Mark Sultan is opening up for Clinic at Johnny Brenda’s. 9pm. $13.

Cordova, Tab, and Weston are at the Khyber. Chuck still isn’t in Weston. Bummer. 9pm. $8.

North Star Bar has Jeremy Enigk, Damien Jurado, and Cynthia G Mason. Enigk’s old band Sunny Day Real Estate is partly to blame for today’s emo-pop trite. Head out and get some revenge. 9pm. $15.

Pilam has the Circles record release party with The Notekillers, Circles, Goes Cube, and Soft People. 8pm. $5.

Medusa Lounge has the Flamin’ Hotz Hail Social Remixes record release party featuring Designer Drugs and special guests. I thought there already was a Hail Social Remix record release party? Anyway, it’s Rich from HS’s birthday so tell him that I said “Birthday’s are wack!” 10pm-2am. Free.

The illVIBE Collective are back at the M-Room with the Body Rock! 9pm. $6

Click is back at Fluid with Dave P. and Julian S.Prcss. 10pm-2am.

SATURDAY

The Barbary has Live Forever with JHN RDN, Designer Drugs, Club Lyfestile. 10pm-2am. $5.

DJ Apt One and Kenny Raw are keeping it real with Tech Support at Medusa Lounge. This is the stuff summer nights should be made of. 10pm-2am. Free.

Andy Pry and friends are DJing Upstairs at the Khyber. It was Andy’s birthday recently. Buy him a drink. 9pm. Free.

The TLA has the Nylon Magazine Summer Music Tour featuring She Wants Revenge, Be Your Own Pet, The Virgins and Switches. I highly doubt this will be any good but Be Your Own Pet are actually kind of decent… 9pm. $18/$20.

Oh man, check it…you can head to an early show at The Fire to watch the Paul Green School of Rock kids get the Led out with a show of Led Zeppelin songs. 7pm. After that, walk down the street to Johnny Brenda’s because Sabbra Cadabra (aka the best Black Sabbath tribute band evar…) are turning fifteen!

941 Theater plays host to the Village Green Productions Kick Off Party featuring Gildon Works, Audible, Jukebox The Ghost, and Brown Recluse Sings with DJ Doug Wallen. All you can drink while supplies last. $10.

Big Jar Books (55 North Second Street) is closing and Saturday night is their final show. Talk about going out with a bang, they’ve got Jack Rose, Glenn Jones, Religious Knives, and D. Charles Speer. Say farewell. 8pm.
