Last Wednesday, Philadelphia heavy hitters Clockcleaner played a show in Brooklyn with The Dustheads and the reunited Midwest hardcore legends Negative Approach. I missed the show but word is that it was pretty epic. The ‘Cleaner are no strangers when it comes to pulling epic pranks but it’s pretty safe to say that Negative Approach fans weren’t ready for what Clockcleaner pulled at SouthPaw in Brooklyn…
I asked Sharkey how the show went. Great. You know that Negative Approach song ‘Ready To Fight?’ We covered it right before N.A. went on…for 20 minutes! Opie Moore came up to me after the show; “Hey man, Brannon was kind of pissed but I thought it was brilliant! That was better than seeing Flipper. They never pissed people off like that, man!”
With that, ladies and gents, I give to you the Clockclean Er _ Live at the Reunion Factory 2 song live EP recorded live from the soundboard at SouthPaw in Brooklyn, NY on May 14, 2008. If you like that, head to their myspace page where you can check out two new songs that they’ve posted - one is a cover song and the other is about a lady that wears boots and braces.
Haters of Clockcleaner will be happy to note that the band are going on a bit of a U.S. break while Sharkey spends a few months visiting the penal colony known as Australia.
