I think it’s supposed to be nice out all weekend long…is spring finaaaaaaally here? This weekend is packed - even Sunday is completely off the charts crazy.
FRIDAY

OK, before you even get the party started you need to get a little culture. Head to SP and stop into Benna’s Cafe (8th & Wharton) for the opening reception of photographer Manuel Dominguez Jr’s latest show Can I Count On You If I Fall Apart. Free wine and cheese, you uncultured boozehounds.
Fluid has the Let Me Ride party. It starts at 9 and it’s free til 11. After that it’s only $5.
Skipmode is back Upstairs at the Khyber with the Futureshock party. Dude is always on point.

Tritone has another installment of the party that is almost single-handedly bringing a new garage punk flavor to Philly - Positively Sick on South Street. This month they’ve got Foxycontin, The Jacks and Canine10. The Jacks 7″ that I have is absolutely ripping - it’s like SoCal beach punk meets New Jersey Shorecore meets garage rock. 10pm. $6.
SATURDAY

House show alert - the ATM house (4057 Spring Garden) has Hermit Thrushes, So So Death, The Private Sea and Vampire Hands. I love house shows. 7pm. $5.
Upstairs at the Khyber has another live as hell Robotique party with DJ’s Mike Tee and Billy W plus Jhan Olo and special guest Pandemix of Inciting Headquarters. Sweat it out for a mix of everything from disco to house to techno and back again. 9pm-2am. Free.
The Bubble House has Make Yr Break with Benni E and DJ Bunnystyle bringing the queer dance party all night long. 10pm-2am. $5.
The Barbary has The Shakedown with Rob Paine and Willyum. House music all night long (say what?) 10pm. $5.

Medusa Lounge has enother awesome installment of the Philadelphyinz party. Party jams throughout space and time with your residents Apt-One and Skinny Friedman. Don’t miss the set by their top secret special guest and his ginormous disco and funk crates. 10pm-2am. Free.
SUNDAY

The Barbary has The Screaming Bloody Murder Tour with A-Trak, Sinden, Steve Aoki. A-Trak always kills it. Sinden destroyed it in NYC when I saw him last. Ask Steve Aoki about Esperanza and This Machine Kills. 9pm-2am. $8.
Nada Surf are at the Troc with local dudes Illinois. All Ages. 7pm. $15/$17
Silk City has Hot Peas & Butta with DJ Skeme Richards and DJ Cash Money. Are you kidding me - DJ CASH MONEY - certified legend status. What were you doing in 1988? 9pm. $5.
Greyhounds have a thing going on at The Khyber. They are playing with Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs, Once-Red Mollie, and Daniel Ralston. 8pm. Free!
Lastly, neo-soul heads need to head to the Fillmore at the TLA for the Baileys Get Together featuring Estelle with host John Legend. 8pm. $16/$18.
