Philly Indie-Popper Calls in to the Best Show

April 10th, 2008 by Labuda · No Comments

WFMU is one of the best radio stations on the air today and the Best Show is, uh, one of the best shows on the station. On April 1st, the show got even better for Herbie Shellenberger (the guy with the V-neck sweater on) of the excellent Philly indie-pop group Brown Recluse Sings - Tom Scharpling of FMU’s Best Show put Herbie on the air.

Of course, that meant that Herbie got made fun of a little bit but he also got some good jokes in and mentioned the important phenomenon know as First World Problems. Later, Tom offered Herbie some advice on how to make some extra cash.

Check the recap of the show and then head to the WFMU archives and listen to the April 1st show. Herbie hits the airwaves around one hour and forty three minutes into the show.

I am pretty sure that Brown Recluse Sings have a 12″ coming out soooooooooometime this year on the excellent Tequila Sunrise record label.
