The M Room has Hip-Hop Lives. Pour some beer on the curb for Frosty Freeze. 9pm. $7.

SATURDAY

PiLam in Weird West Philly has the Human BBQ XXX. Is it a conflict of interest to run this since I am DJing downstairs? Probably -  but I would have mentioned it anyway because it’s an amazing annual party and this year some great bands are playing. Personally, I’m looking forward to live music by A Place to Bury Strangers, Oxford Collapse, Pants Yell!, Brown Recluse Sings, and Birds of Maya. Plus, the basement is going to be pumping with DJ sets by Labuda (me!), MTS, and Baltimore wax killers Dave Nada + Cullen Stalin. This thing starts at noon and goes til the sun comes up on Sunday so you’ve go no excuses for not stopping by. $12.

So Damn Tuff - the M Room has a Tuff Crew reunion featuring the legendary DJ Too Tuff. This clip alone proves that Too Tuff is a king. Bow down. 9pm. $10.

The Medusa Lounge has Hurrah with special guest Marcos Cabral [Runaway - Brooklyn] and residents Shawn Ryan & Chris Rogy. 10pm-2am. Optional $10 open bar from 10-12. Otherwise, it’s Free.

And Dim Sum present Hide and Sikh at the Raven Lounge with Gordon Bombay and Black Locust and Mandip dropping bhangra, hip-hop and other shit to make you drop it like it’s hot . 10pm. $5.

SUNDAY

Clockcleaner, Psychedelic Horseshit, FNU Ronnies, and Dog on the Loose are playing show at the Berks Warehouse (1801 N. Howard St.).  I’m really digging the weird FNU Ronnies 7″ that I got. Eat a bunch of downers and check it out. 8pm.

Silk City has The Philadelphyinz All Rap Bar Mitzvah. 9pm. Free.
