A while ago, a friend asked me if I’ve ever been to Gay Phil’s (sidenote: Gay Phil is allegedly 100% heterosexual) store. I hadn’t and my answer was probably something like “What are you talking about? He doesn’t own a store.” But, he does! And, some people liked the store so much that they decided to interview him about it.
Phil Leone opened up Deep Sleep a short time ago and it’s quickly become one of the very best places in the city to get men’s and women’s streetwear type fashions from Sweden or Japan or where ever you crazy kids buy your cool clothes. For rill, the store is pretty cool and Phil’s one of the nicest kids ever. We heartily endorse it.
Anyway, the people that write the excellent Animal House blog interviewed Phil recently - check it out. Not bad for a kid who used to be in the band Roman Numeral Thirty
