Clockcleaner Score a Mighty 7.9 on the Pitchfork Hype Meter

December 6th, 2007 by Labuda · No Comments

look, a picture of clockcleaner that ISNT sharkey!

I think that it’s probably no secret that I really do think that Clockcleaner are one of (if not thee) best bands that the City of Brotherly Love has to offer. And, while I have mixed feelings about the perceived power of the Pitchforkmedia website, I was pretty excited to see Clockcleaner’s Load Records debut - Babylon Rules - reviewed on the ‘Fork yesterday.

Pitchfork can be pretty picky and they aren’t always kind to Philadelphia bands but Clockcleaner’s new one registered a solidly respectable 7.9 out of 10, which puts their rating slightly lower than Pissed Jeans but higher than Hail Social, Meg Baird and Randall of Nazo.

Congrats, ‘cleaners.  I’m sure that you all are really truly thrilled…
