Giant Robot - the fanzine dedicated to covering Asian and Asian-American pop culture - has hit issue FIFTY! That’s a Godzilla-like accomplishment. And in this issue they interview our friends.
I used to buy GR religiously when was in college and I think some friends of mine got the impression that I had some sort of weirdo gaijin Asian fetish. I didn’t - I just thought that it was a stellar fanzine and it covered things that I think are cool.
The newest issue of Giant Robot has an interview with our pals that make fine bags and backpacks - Track + Field!
I’m really psyched about the interview. It’s the perfect pairing of cool people that make a cool product meets cool magazine. And, if you get bored of reading about bags, you can always read Mr. Nakazawa’s column and learn how to turn your library card into a shank. Maybe in a future issue they can interview Richie Hail Social about being Asian yet hating Asians!
Now go out and buy a Track + Field bag or Bryan T+F will never ever give me this record back.
