I don’t think being a ‘goth‘ is that weird. I don’t even think that being the parent of a small child and still enjoying music and ‘culture’ that you’ve always enjoyed is that weird. I mean, hey, I listen to some pretty out there music on a daily basis and I think that I’m a pretty normal guy and I still sometimes go to DIY hardcore punk shows. However, I don’t usually sit down with my kid and force him to listen to raging d-beat hardcore while he’s dressed up like Sid Vicious or anything. I guess what I am saying is that iffffffffffffffff I was a ‘goth’ I highly doubt that I would be all “Hey Little Baby, Instead of Kidzbop and Barney the Dinosaur - check out this Christian Death album and watch ‘The Crow.’” because I know that kids aren’t into that kind of junk. I bet goth parents know that too but, according to a Sunday Philadelphia Inquirer article, Philly area goth-moms and Goth-dads are all about bringing the kids into the coven with baby goth clothes, kid goth DJ nights (!?!) and cemetary picnics. Spooooooooooky or dorky? You decide…
