There’s nothing more sad than a badly done portrait tattoo. I recently found a good handful of them, and thought I’d share. This first one is woman-with- spider-nose- and-half-a-head.
Okay, I feel kind of bad posting this one, because it’s obvious that the kid died and it’s a tribute tattoo.. but if you want to remember a loved one by getting their face inked on you for the rest of your life, wouldn’t it be wise to leave out the zits?
All newborn babies are ugly. All of them. That’s why it’s wise to wait for a year or two until your kid is really cute to get their portrait. Also, disembodied heads and hands are creepy, especially when the hands look more like garlic knots than anything else.
One of the biggest downfalls of otherwise-ok portrait tattoos is teeth. They always make the people look like sharks. Please note: if you go to a mediocre tattoo artist, don’t bring a photo of someone grinning. It never ends well. Also maybe ask them to not make the double-chin stick out so much.
