FRIDAY: World Cafe Live has a pretty weird show. Y-Rock on XPN present The Meat Puppets (!!!) with The Comas. 7pm. $20.
My sureshot lock for the weekend is…
….The Rub at Fluid nightclub. For real, DJ Eleven and Cosmo Baker (I’m pretty sure DJ Ayres isn’t gonna be able to make it) are gonna come down from NYC and set it off. In NY, The Rub is one of the hottest parties in the city. This whole deal is presented by Pedestrian and Simplefly and Let Me Ride. $2 domestic bottles/$3 well drinks until 12am. 10pm-2am. $5 on the list before midnight. Opening set by the Let Me Ride DJs. Free give aways from Frank 151 all night. Don’t front. You know this is gonna rule.
Even cooler is that afterwards / later in the evening you can make your way from Fluid up to Fairmount (my ‘hood!) for….
White Ts and White Belts with the dudes Emynd and Bo Bliz plus Dan the Swede at The Arts Garage. 12am-4am. $10 with FREE BOOZE as long as it lasts but you are strongly encouraged to BYOB.
SATURDAY: Calling all Mods, the M-Room hosts Immediate with a live set by The Three Four Tens and visuals by Dom M. 9pm. $6.
Upstairs at the Khyber has DJ’s Mike Tee, Stepchild, & blingdog Billy Werner bringing you the always fun Hip Replacement. 9pm-2am. Free.
