There has been much ado about the hit Sav Rocca was served by Antwan Barnes. Youtube videos, internet messageboards, etc have lit up with the footage and plenty of commentary about it being an “unnecessary hit”, a “cheapshot” and the like. But less people are taking the time to find out Sav’s take on this.

He got love from BleedingGreenNation and elsewhere around the internet from people who heard or read his quote. The BGN poster above is glowing in his review of Sav’s testicular fortitude, saying, “Despite the fact that he’s never actually played a real NFL football game, Sav Rocca is already a real football player.” I agree. He took Antwan’s hit in stride, in his first NFL game, in a foreign country, in an away game, after nailing a football 70 yards in the air and just got back up and laughed about it. Just how big are this guy’s stones?
