Usually I hold off on weekend picks until tomorrow (actually, lately I’ve held off completely and have been chilling out at the beach on Fridays) but every once in a while a show comes around that looks so fun that I feel I would be a jerk if I didn’t mention it earlier. This, my friends, is that every once in a while. Armalite are pretty much theee Philly all-star punk band what with: Dan Yemin (Lifetime / Paint It Black), Mike McKee (Kill The Man Who Questions, England Belongs To Twee, F-80 etc), Adam Goren (Atom and his Package, Fracture!) and Jeff Ziga (AAJ, R5 door person, Fun Vampire and professional drunk injury athlete). They don’t play out very often so you know this will be a special event. Almost as exciting is who is playing with them. The Ergs! are completely awesome. Pink Razors are great, too! And, The Steal, uh, they are from the UK so they have that going for them.
