Cue that Amebix record: Remember a while back when two train hoppin’, soap dodgin’, circle-that-A types stomped another punk rocker to death on the roof of a West Philly squat and then hightailed it out of town before the long arm of the law could nab them? Well, guess what…they got CAUGHT!The Inquirer recently ran a story detailing that Homicide detectives have arrested a pair of drifters in the fatal beating of a 27-year-old man after a night of partying on the roof of an abandoned West Philadelphia building.
These brain surgeons got nabbed in Sugarcreek Borough PA after one of the punx STABBED THE OTHER IN THE LEG WITH A STEAK KNIFE. When the cops got to the scene, they found a crust punker lying in the front yard of the home, his pajama pants soaked in fresh blood and blood pooling on the ground around him! OUCH!
Or, how about this classy Daily News report where they call the female punk “hefty.”
Finally, just because we are jerks,we looked them up on Myspace for you. Conor and Echo ! Additionally, we hear that they are going to claim self defense or that they are gonna claim that this is some sort of retaliation for an attempted sexual assault.
To that, I must editorialize a bit…
Dear Punx,
I know, I know, A.C.A.B! The “community” will police itself. Most of the time that is true and that axiom works. But, sometimes (Pointless Fest assaults, Pointless Fest ‘riot,’ this incident etc) I feel like it’s best to cooperate and let the cops do their jobs. I’m certain that this is an unpopular opinion but it is forever one Fun Vampire’s view that cops can SOMETIMES help punk rockers out. So, if an assault happens - by all means, defend yourself and bash back. But, try not to stomp someone to death. And, try to get the cops involved, too. Uh, also, it should go without saying but DON’T ASSAULT PEOPLE.
Live the chaos,
Labuda (aka: the guy who was dressed like he was auditioning for a Banana Repulic ad at all those Stalag 13 ((R.I.P.)) shows)

Actually, my buddy Sean was involved in this entire debocle. None of them had anything to do with the death, and they were all arrested and sent to multiple jails for something they weren’t even involved in.
Yeah, they’ve all done shit they should have gotten caught for and it’s just getting around now, but still, This is bullshit.
