Johnny Brenda’s has a show that is pretty much my pick of the entire weekend: Pissed Jeans are playing their CD Release show with Blues Control, Tile, and in between bands DJ Shawn Brackbill will move the crowd with weirdness on the ones and twos. $8.

And Dim Sum are back at Upstairs at the Khyber with Spin the Bottle! The dude Gordon Bombay, M Dot, and The Asian Ranger drop hits to make you shake what your momma gave ya. Free!

Finally, word on the street is that the severly under-rated DJ Mr. Ten Fingers is holding it down at the new (improved?) Silk City. I haven’t been there yet and if they removed huevos rancheros from the menu then someone is gonna get touched! Free!

Saturday, June 16

England Belongs to Twee is back Upstairs at the Khyber! Your humble narrator (Labuda!) will be spinning thee finest in oi!/punk and indiepop all night long. Special guest DJ Jeff “Ouch!” Ziga! This is the best “rock” DJ night ever! Free!

Joe Coffee (ex: Sheer Terror!!), Alright Junior and Buy Star Bombs bring the punk rock to the downstairs of the Khyber. $10. This is going to be a drunkfest

Roll Call is a new party at the M-Room. Emynd and Bo Bliz Vs. Caps and Jones! This should be HYPE. Ten bucks at the door (five if you are on the list).
