Punk Rock Bootcamp Contest!

April 30th, 2007 by Labuda · 1 Comment

Back in the day, when a whole crew of us used to Karaoke-mosh, Brian Adoff was always the best singer. After we were banned from the karaoke place, he moved to Chicago to do some modelling and acting. Now, he’s back and he’s the certified personal trainer bringing you Punk Rock Bootcamp!

Two lucky contestants (one male and one female) can win the first Punk Rock Bootcamp session for FREE!

Maybe you are slightly out of step from too much boozing? Stagedives not making you feel more alive these days? Don’t worry about it, Brian Adoff can whip you into shape.

At heart, Brian is a punk rocker, so he knows that not everyone can afford a personal training session. He decided that it would be a fun idea to help people get into shape at a DIY hardcore show price. Hence, Punk Rock Bootcamp was born.

On Sunday, May 6th at 1pm in Liberty Lands Park (3rd and Poplar), Adoff is going to lead this excercise session with a tough but fun workout. The cost will be $5 ($4 if you wear a pre-1995 punk or hardcore t-shirt) and it is recommended that you email brianadoff@gmail.com to make sure you get a spot because space will be limited. Brian sez that, since it’s going to be outside, wear something that you won’t mind maybe getting a bit dirty + a yoga mat if you have one + some water.

You wanna get in shape but you spent you last $5 bucks buying 40’s of Hurricane across from the old Stalag13? Fear not…Fun Vampires has the hook up.

It’s easy! Email the answers to these questions (hint - all the answers can be found or linked on the Fun Vampires site) to contest@funvampires.com with PUNK ROCK BOOTCAMP in the subject line. In the body of the email, we need to know the answers and your gender (uh, that is if you are male or female, stupid!). The first male / female contestant to send us the correct answer wins and gets to workout for FREE!

  1. ARTZ recommended people check out a tape or record compiled by Pushead. What record?
  2. What early Philly hardcore band was Chuck Meehan in?
  3. What is the last song on the Infest record “Slave?”
  4. What was the name of the compilation album that contained Rob R-Rock’s song “Cruelty Free?”
  5. This Philadelphia punk rocker/bird lover was quoted in the New York Times.
