Shut Up and Listen: T&G / Electrical Audio party, April 18

April 17th, 2007 by vc · 1 Comment

It’s safe to assume that every indie rock record hound these days has a DJ night. And it’s also safe to assume that these record hounds would line-up to a night spun by Steve Albini. So, Touch & Go and Electrical Audio are making it happen. I can only imagine what the dance floor would look like. So, if you’re in the mood to see some hip rock kids trainspot,

skimp the free cover and pursue cheap libations at The Subterranean (2011 W. North Ave.), 9pm-2am, on Wednesday night. While you’re busy swaying back and forth with your arms crossed (and screaming “I HAS A BUCKET”), feel free to indulge in giveaways and please contribute to the raffle^^.

The DJs: Steve Albini, Interpretive Hunter, Miranda Yolanda, Jackay Johnson Lange, and Double Jeopardy.

^^ There’s a reason for all this. The raffle includes new releases from Ted Leo and CocoRosie, tickets to both of their shows at The Metro and tickets to the Shellac show at Subterranean (it’s sold out, so free is better than what people are charging on Craigslist). All proceeds will go towards Callum Robbins.
