A tipster has hipped us to a new Anti War network based in Philadelphia called PRAWN. Being mostly the militant Bush hating faggo liberals nice guys that we are, we decided to give them a little pump. Hopefully they don’t taint their protests with Mumia worship. From the email:
“PRAWN, the Philadelphia Regional Anti-War network, is reaching out to activists in the area at a crucial time in the country’s history. Our goal is to build a stronger coalition of activists working for an immediate end of this horrible war and the return of our troops home. The anti-war movement is growing and although the American people have expressed their views during the past November elections, our new Congress needs to hear more from all of us. We need your help in pressuring our leaders and today we call on your activism. We are doing rallies, protests, lobbying, phone calling, and letter writing to Representatives and the media on an ongoing basis. There are many opportunities for you to get involved:”
–Our next meeting will be at 6:30pm on Tuesday Apr 17th at 1606 Walnut St (AFSCME Local 47 office). All are welcome.
–We hold a monthly vigil near Senator Spector’s home, at the intersection of timber Lane & Schoolhouse Lane (Zip code is 19129 for those using Mapquest or a similar program). The next one will be on April 22nd at 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Please come and join us.
–On Tuesday April 17th, Tax Day, we will be at the Federal Building at 6th and Market, protesting the way our tax dollars are being used. Join the coalition of organizations who will be there that day.
