Easter is a mixture of two holidays, the secular and the religious. The secular holiday centers on eggs and bunnies, but most Christians also celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The historical truth is debatable, but the gist of Jesus’ story is this: Dude grew up poor, enjoyed the simple life, embraced the outsiders, didn’t like violence, drank some wine, smoked some herb, told people to drop out and worship god. This upset the system, so they killed dude. This is where things get crazy. It turns out that Jesus was also god. He comes back to life. This makes the system look retarded. Within the next 500 years or so, Christians take over the system, become the system and distort Jesus’ words to their own advantage to this very day. So to all the real christians out there. Happy Easter! Love god. Love your fellow man. Smash the system! Jesus, forgive my catholic ass for everything. Nothing but love.
